リスニングPart2の流れ（英検準1級）

Part2 Passage

Part1のDialogue（会話）に続いて、Part2が始まります。

Part2 では、Passage の内容を問う問題が、1題につき2問、6題で12問出題されます。

英検準1級リスニングでは、Part1（12題・12問）、Part2（ 6題・12問）、Part3（5題・ 5問）で合計29問出題されます。

Part2はPassage問題と呼ばれ、広い分野での学術的な内容が読み上げられます。

Part2 Passageの内容

Passage 問題で流れる内容は英検準1級のリーディングの問題をイメージされるとわかりやすいと思います。

過去に出題されたテーマは、科学、テクノロジー、生物、環境、健康、医療、IT、ビジネス、社会、教育、歴史、考古学など、広い分野での学術的な内容となります。

例えば、2023年度第2回英検準1級試験のPart2の最初の問題(A) Sukkothでは、以下の通りリーディングで出題されるような難しい文章が出題されます。

問題用紙には選択肢のみ印刷されています。

Sukkoth is a religious holiday celebrated by Jewish people around the world.
It originated thousands of years ago as a harvest festival.
During the festival, people demonstrated their appreciation to their god for the year’s crops.
Later, the holiday became connected with the time immediately after the ancient Jewish people had escaped from slavery in Egypt.
According to tradition, the Jewish people wandered in the desert and had to live in fragile shelters called sukkahs that protected them from the heat of the sun.
Today, Jewish people celebrate the holiday by building a sukkah in their backyards or on balconies.
Sukkahs generally have three walls, and the roof is made with leaves and has openings so that the stars are visible above.
During the festival’s seven days, people consume their meals in the sukkah, and if they live in a warm climate, they sleep in it as well.

(A) Sukkoth
Sukkothは世界中のユダヤ人が祝う宗教的な祝日である。
何千年も前に収穫祭として始まった。
この祭りの間、人々はその年の収穫に対する感謝を神に示した。
その後、この祝日は、古代ユダヤの人々がエジプトの奴隷状態から脱出した直後と結び付けられるようになった。
伝統によれば、ユダヤの民は砂漠をさまよい、太陽の熱から身を守るスカーと呼ばれる壊れやすいシェルターで暮らさなければならなかった。
今日、ユダヤ人は自宅の裏庭やバルコニーにsukkahを建てて祭日を祝う。
Sukkahは一般的に3つの壁があり、屋根は葉で作られ、星が上に見えるように開口部がある。

Part2 Passageの進行

まず、(1)Part2 Passageでは 、30秒間、Part2に関する説明が流れます。

それから、(2)1分20秒前後のPassage 1問目（No.13）が読まれます。なお、Passageは問題によって長さが前後します。

(3)4秒から-7秒間、 1問目のQuestionが読み上げられ、(4)10秒で回答します。

(5)2問目の問題が4秒から7秒間Questionが読み上げられ、(6)10秒で回答します。

(7)1分20秒前後のPassage 2問目（No.14）が読まれます。なお、Passageは問題によって長さが前後します。

その後、同じパターンで繰り返されます。
